Famosos indignados com texto sobre a aparência em televisão

Cristina Ferreira e Maria Botelho Moniz recebem apoio após ofensas.
Um artigo de opinião, cujo título é “A Imagem é Tudo” do antigo jornalista Alexandre Pais, está a causar indignação, junto de algumas figuras públicas. O cronista usou o seu espaço de opinião para reagir ao regresso de Maria Botelho Moniz ao programa da TVI. A apresentadora e Cristina Ferreira são visadas nesta crónica.
“Mulher simpática, mas robusta, com tendência para aumentar de peso e raramente usando roupa adequada às suas características, Maria devia concentrar nesse problema, de resolução difícil, o que ele exige: disciplina e capacidade de sacrifício, muito sacrifício“, escreveu o cronista.
Rapidamente, vários famosos criticaram fortemente as palavras de Alexandre Pais. “Alexandre, a culpa não é só tua. É do jornal que permite e promove este conteúdo. É da noção continua e perpetuada de que a mulher tem de se tornar ‘apresentável’ para ter uma posição de destaque. Mas é, acima de tudo, esta falta de noção de que se pode falar do aspeto físico das mulheres, do seu corpo, como se fosse um objeto ao qual se atribui uma classificação“, começou por escrever Carolina Deslandes.
Nuno Markl também se mostrou indignado: “Tem razão, Alexandre. Eu começaria logo por evitar publicar a foto tipo passe no cabeçalho das crónicas, porque me parece que está velho e careca“.
Rita Pereira revela “raiva” ao ler as palavras de Alexandre Pais. “Pior que é sempre o mesmo e ele continua impune”, escreveu a atriz.
Também Catarina Furtado mostrou-se incrédula: “Por várias razões e uma delas tem a ver exatamente com o facto de todas nós (e as que são figuras públicas terem uma pressão ainda maior) crescermos a querer corresponder a um padrão de beleza ou elegância. Este texto é inadequado e ofensivo e carrega ainda mais nesse botão doentio de uma exigência que acabamos por vestir“.
Esta segunda-feira, 3 de abril, Alexandre Pais reage às muitas críticas: “Não critico pessoas, apenas exprimo a minha opinião sobre o que as vejo fazer enquanto profissionais de TV“, segundo cita a MAGG.
